SUPERVISION / CONSULTATION GROUPS
Ruby Jo will be facilitating several supervision and consultation groups throughout this year. These groups are intended for professionals working with trauma who want individualized guidance and support from colleagues and direct consultation/ supervision. Ruby Jo has done over 31,000 therapy sessions. She brings this experience, years of somatic study in Hakomi, SE, and Organic Intelligence, and her own lens of Post-Traumatic Growth Somatic Therapy to the supervision group. This group has a polyvagal-informed lens, as well as general neurobiological principles and is also trauma-informed—utilizing the nervous system and client wholeness as the foundation of working with clients more effectively. Therapist support is also a primary goal in this online group.

THE NEUROBIOLOGY OF RESILIENCE TRAINING SERIES 2023
Cultivating Post-Traumatic Growth and Resilience Through the Lens of Neurobiology for the New Year: Polyvagal-Informed Resilient Series
This series is for the practitioner who wants inside out learning around different topics connected to resilience to support themselves and their clients. Each 1 hour module will cover a different topic on resilience through the lens of neurobiology. Each module will include skills of nervous system regulation as a platform for resilience. When neurobiology is in the foundation of resilience practices, it means there is less need to manage or “push through”—leading to more ease in life. The information and skills taught will be useful to practitioners and individuals wanting to deepen their application of polyvagal theory.
This training can be done as single trainings or as a block. Register here for both online or check payment

ADVANCED POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH SOMATIC THERAPY CERTIFICATION TRAINING
This Advanced training will include the maps of the nervous system, the attachment system, and developmental wounding as well as deepening into the method of PTG Somatic Therapy. In addition to didactic information and practice, the state of the therapist will be a focus for each training. Ruby Jo will supervise each student during practice in order to move the therapist to the next level of their growth. This class is specifically designed for deeper practitioner expansion–so it is intentionally smaller to provide more personal attention to that process of development. Class is limited to 18 participants only and is open to all participants who have graduated from PTG series. Participants will be sent a review package before the start of the training to support learning.
TOPICS
-
Emotions and the Nervous System
-
Interplay of the Maps (Nervous system, attachment system/developmental wounding)

POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH SOMATIC THERAPY CERTIFICATION TRAINING 2024
Coming in 2024, please reach out to Ruby Jo Walker, at swtraumatraining@gmail if you are interested.
In this training series, participants will deeply explore Post-Traumatic Growth from a nervous system and trauma-informed approach. This training will incorporate the newest neurobiological perspectives that facilitate somatic trauma resolution and embodied personal growth and resiliency. This training has a true non-pathologizing approach to neurobiology, recognizing that adaptations are connected to neurobiology and experiences—and based on our humanness.
This training is for the practitioner who wants their own growth to provide the container for supporting growth in their clients. Clients can generally only go as far as the practitioner, so the practitioner’s ability to be mindful of their own patterning—with its strengths and limits—will be a soft focus, making each practitioner feel more effective and supported. Using self to support growth and possibility will be a cornerstone of this method.
Developmental wounding’s impact on core beliefs and neurobiological trauma states can get in the way of post-traumatic growth. This training will deepen practitioners’ understanding of attachment adaptations, emotions, nervous system states, and how they all relate to supporting post-traumatic growth. With this understanding, participants will increase their ability to work with clients' nervous systems and their own.
The workshop will have presentations, demonstrations, videos, experiential exercises, and practice, all aimed at helping participants learn how to use these skills with themselves and others. In addition to the topics listed, each module will build from previous material and skills and promote greater understanding, skillfulness, and confidence.
This training pulls from Steven Porges and Polyvagal theory, as well as Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Dan Siegel, Dr. Allan Shore, Dr. Rick Hanson, Diane Poole-Heller, Ron Kurtz, Peter Levine, Pat Ogden, Paul Erkman, Bonnie Badenoch, Bruce Ecker, and other leaders in the trauma neurobiology field.
Each module is 16 hours, and a 2-hour Supervision Group is also included in the training. Total 66 hours of training.
